## Title: Finance and Control Officer

Position Overview

The Finance & Control Officer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling all financial activities of the company. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, compliance with company policies, and financial integrity across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all financial records and transactions of the company
  • Ensure accurate recording of sales, expenses, and operational costs
  • Review, validate, and reconcile daily sales reports submitted by Cashiers
  • Monitor and enforce internal control systems to prevent fraud, errors, or financial leakages
  • Prepare financial and management reports for review and decision-making
  • Reconcile accounts, invoices, and payment records on a regular basis
  • Ensure full compliance with company financial policies and procedures
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
  • Work closely with the Cashier, HR/Admin, and Management teams
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of all financial information

Education Requirements

  • BSc or HND in Accounting or a related discipline

Experience Requirements

  • 2–5 years relevant experience in finance, accounting, or control functions
  • Experience in internal control, audit, or retail/operations finance is an added advantage

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls
  • High analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to detect discrepancies and financial risks
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, ERP systems, and basic accounting tools

  • Ability to work in a structured, control-driven environment
  • Strong ethical standards and zero tolerance for financial misconduct
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and departments
