Job Summary

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, monitoring fiscal performance, and providing insights that guide business decisions and optimize profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, financial modelling expertise, and a deep understanding of fintech operations. This role involves close collaboration with senior management to support strategic planning, ensure compliance, and drive financial efficiency across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, monitor, and analyze financial data to support the organization's fiscal health and business growth
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, providing management with data-driven recommendations
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including expense management and cost optimization
• Collaborate with external bookkeeping partners and auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Conduct balance sheet and P&L analyses, ensuring compliance with internal controls
• Oversee loan portfolio performance, including disbursement tracking, collections, and reconciliation
• Analyze loan applications and customer documentation for compliance with internal credit and KYC policies
• Manage liquidity and cash flow forecasting to ensure adequate funding and financial stability
• Engage with partner banks and financial institutions to optimize financing costs and manage FX exposure
• Prepare and review tax filings (PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT) in collaboration with local tax advisors
• Generate reports for funding partners and investors as required

Requirements

• First degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial analysis, preferably in the fintech or financial services sector
