Main Functions

Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet daily operational plans, reduce equipment failure, and ensure efficient resource administration.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Implement daily work objectives, housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security protocols
• Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and regular safety meetings with documented attendance
• Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operational conditions
• Function as Equipment Care Technician and perform routine maintenance activities using appropriate maintenance skills
• Report when alarm, emergency, or emergency shutdown systems are out of service
• Provide detailed, clear, and accurate information during shift changes to guarantee unit conditions are updated and ensure operations continuity
• Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance jobs according to corrective, predictive, and preventive planning
• Record continuously in the log book all relevant operational events, abnormal situations, or deviations occurring in the work area, equipment, or involving personnel
• Take product samples for laboratory analysis and execute field laboratory tests
• Actively participate in emergency response activities
• Report incidents internally and escalate awareness according to the Incident Reporting Guidelines
• Ensure the Operations Shift Supervisor is informed and consulted about operational activities
• Maintain good communication across the work team to ensure issues and actions are adequately addressed
• Provide accurate information concerning well producing problems, current production rates, and current well conditions
• Ensure well problem diagnostics are thorough and complete before requesting Well Work intervention operations
