Field Logistics and Admin Assistant (Pulka)

Position Summary

Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is seeking a Field Logistics and Administration Assistant to manage the office and guest house operations in Pulka. This role involves overseeing maintenance and cleanliness, coordinating accommodations for staff and visitors, managing supplies, and ensuring all operations comply with NCA policies and standards.

Areas of Responsibility

• Field Office and Guest House Management: Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of the office and guest house to ensure a comfortable working environment
• Supervision of Casual Workers: Oversee the work of casual workers, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure all duties are carried out effectively and efficiently
• Supply Management: Ensure the guest house is well-stocked with necessary supplies such as toiletries, linens, and other essentials; coordinate with vendors for timely replenishment
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of guest house usage, including booking details, maintenance logs, and inventory records to ensure efficient operations
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure guest house operations comply with organizational policies and safety standards; address any issues or concerns promptly

Main Tasks

• Ensure that the office and guest house are always clean and tidy
• Oversee general maintenance of the office and guest house, including furniture, fixtures, and appliances; regularly inspect to identify and address maintenance needs
• Ensure utilities operate smoothly, including generator fuel management
• Liaise with the Maiduguri HR and Admin officer regarding staff accommodations for arriving and departing staff to designated approved destinations, including humanitarian hub for non-field staff
