Job Summary - The Fiber Engineer is responsible for the design, planning, installation, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic cable infrastructure and networks. - This role ensures the reliability, performance, and integrity of high-speed optical communication systems, often collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. - Installation & Deployment Oversight - Testing & Quality Assurance - Maintenance & Troubleshooting Technical Skills - Deep knowledge of fiber optic principles, transmission theory, and cable types (single-mode and multi-mode). - Expertise in fusion splicing and mechanical splicing techniques. - Proficiency with fiber optic test equipment (OTDRs, Power Meters, Light Sources, etc.).
