## Title: Facility Manager
About the Role
A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as Facility Manager at the Nigerian Society of Engineers Secretariat complex in Lagos.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance of all facilities and equipment within the Secretariat complex
- Handle emergencies and unplanned incidents, such as repairs and safety issues
- Monitor expenses and control costs related to facility management
- Monitor energy usage and implement energy-saving measures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and drills in conjunction with the HSE Manager
- Communicate policies, procedures, and important updates related to facility management
- Identify opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements
- Perform other assigned responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Corporate Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE)
- Registration with COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria)
- Minimum of 10 years post-graduation work experience in engineering or the built environment
- At least 3 of the 10 years should be in a Facility Management position
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Engineering or MBA
Required Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Budgeting and financial management expertise
- Knowledge of facility management software and systems
- Leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in unpredictable environmental conditions (varying temperature, humidity, etc.)
- Proficiency in facility inspections and site visit strategies
