## Title: Facility Manager

About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as Facility Manager at the Nigerian Society of Engineers Secretariat complex in Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of all facilities and equipment within the Secretariat complex
  • Handle emergencies and unplanned incidents, such as repairs and safety issues
  • Monitor expenses and control costs related to facility management
  • Monitor energy usage and implement energy-saving measures
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and drills in conjunction with the HSE Manager
  • Communicate policies, procedures, and important updates related to facility management
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Corporate Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE)
  • Registration with COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria)
  • Minimum of 10 years post-graduation work experience in engineering or the built environment
  • At least 3 of the 10 years should be in a Facility Management position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or MBA

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Budgeting and financial management expertise
  • Knowledge of facility management software and systems
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work in unpredictable environmental conditions (varying temperature, humidity, etc.)
  • Proficiency in facility inspections and site visit strategies
