Job description
A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent.
- The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hospital's physical environment and facility, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant setting for patients, staff, and visitors. This pivotal role is critical to supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance programs for all hospital infrastructure, buildings, grounds, and critical systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, fire safety).
- Ensure the continuous and reliable operation of essential utilities and emergency power systems.
- Manage day-to-day facility operations, including internal repairs, cleanliness, housekeeping, and general upkeep of patient care areas, offices, and common spaces.
- Oversee the management of non-medical equipment (e.g., elevators, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment).
- Ensure the hospital is in continuous compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
- Develop, manage, and enforce all life safety, fire safety, and security programs and policies.
- Conduct regular facility inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify and promptly address potential hazards.
- Oversee the management and disposal of hazardous and medical waste in accordance with strict regulatory guidelines.
- Manage security protocols, access controls, and surveillance systems to protect occupants and assets.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and sterile Environment of Care (EoC) that directly supports clinical operations and patient well-being.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, infection control, and orderliness across the facility, coordinating closely with Infection Control and Clinical leadership.
- Implement sustainability initiatives, focusing on energy conservation, water management, and reduced environmental impact.
- Manage and oversee construction, renovation, and major facility upgrade projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, schedule, and all healthcare building codes.
- Coordinate internal resources and external contractors for project completion, minimizing disruption to patient care.
