## Title: Experienced Cashier

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified cashier to join Robeck Locks Ltd in Lagos. In this position, you will capture and manage all receivables and payables for sales and expenses made by the store. You will be responsible for managing transactions with customers, balancing cash registers, and tracking transactions to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently operate cash registers and POS systems
  • Process payments made with cash, cheques, POS, credit and debit cards
  • Process returns and exchanges
  • Verify all prices and quantities are accurate and provide receipts to customers
  • Prepare and raise invoices
  • Make sales referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new items
  • Interact with customers and attend to requests and complaints with a focus on satisfaction
  • Promote new store products
  • Organize products on the sales floor
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new customers
  • Provide advice and guidance on product selection
  • Participate in stock control and management
  • Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
  • Follow company processes accurately and efficiently
  • Complete ad hoc duties as required

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum OND qualification
  • At least 1 year of work experience
  • Relevant retail work experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (cash registers, scanners, money counters)
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Customer satisfaction orientation
  • Attention to detail
  • Sales and mathematical skills
  • High level of professionalism
