We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening.
Position Overview:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Auditor to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for examining and evaluating financial records, internal controls, and operational processes to ensure accuracy, compliance with applicable laws and standards, and effective risk management.
- The role requires strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and report on internal and/or external audit assignments in line with approved audit plans.
- Review financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate internal control systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Identify areas of non-compliance, fraud risk, or operational weakness and provide practical recommendations.
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports, including findings and corrective action plans.
- Follow up on audit issues to ensure timely implementation of agreed recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Liaise with management and relevant stakeholders during audit engagements.
- Maintain proper audit documentation and working papers.
Requirements:
& Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant audit experience (internal or external).
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); knowledge of accounting/audit software is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
