## Title: Expediter

About the Role

International Energy Services Limited (IESL) seeks a dedicated Expediter to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulations while managing purchasing operations and supplier coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to H3SE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) rules and company procedures, instructions, and applicable legislation
  • Take necessary measures to prevent immediate threats to safety, ensuring caution to avoid danger to personnel, installations, or environmental pollution
  • Participate actively in H3SE meetings, training sessions, and drills; cooperate in executing H3SE plans and implementing H3SE clauses within C&P documents
  • Ensure compliance of the purchasing process with all internal company rules, guides to conduct, and applicable laws and regulations (JV rules, country laws, etc.)
  • Give special attention to safety materials, ensuring all safety requirements including testing, certifications, and identifications are fully compliant with company requirements and local government regulations
  • Contribute to reporting Key Performance Indicators
  • Follow up on fulfillment of QA/QC requirements by suppliers prior to material delivery (Mill/Test Certificates, MSDS, and other relevant certificates)
  • Track purchase orders through completion and handover to Transit for FCA incoterm or Techlog reception for DDP incoterm
  • Ensure receipt of acknowledgement for all purchase orders from suppliers
  • Monitor supplier deliveries for timeliness in accordance with applicable incoterms specified in the Purchase Order
  • Follow up on PO Readiness notifications from supplier to buyer and transit before goods delivery to freight forwarder
  • Track goods receipt (GR103) creation against contractual delivery dates
  • Identify and clarify discrepancies between materials delivered and purchase order specifications

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Head of Purchasing and is responsible for proper execution of purchasing order operations under their supervision.
