Objective / Purpose of the Job
- The Estate Accountant plays a pivotal role in financial management.
- This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective revenue management, and strict compliance with financial regulations.
- The role supports the operational efficiency of the estate by managing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and providing financial insights that drive informed decision-making and optimize estate performance.
- Manage and maintain financial records for assigned estates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile estate bank accounts, supplier accounts, and tenant ledgers.
- Assist in the preparation of estate budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor expenditure against budgets and highlight variances to management.
- Provide financial analysis to support decision-making and operational improvements.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Review and process supplier invoices, ensuring timely payments and proper expense allocation.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Work closely with Facility Managers and vendors to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Provide financial insights and advice to support estate management decisions.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Ensure all financial activities adhere to internal controls, company policies, and relevant financial regulations.
- Prepare documentation and assist the Financial Controller in coordinating internal and external audits.
- Implement audit recommendations to strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy.
- Timeliness and accuracy of financial reports.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within real estate or facilities management.
