ESG Associate at First Metro Infrastructure Limited

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lagos, Nigeria.

The ESG Associate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, social, and governance strategies and initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting research, creating reports, engaging with stakeholders, monitoring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the ESG team on various projects.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline
• Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., GRI, SASB, CFA ESG, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor) is an added advantage

Required Experience

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or environmental management (preferably within infrastructure, transport, or energy sectors)
• Demonstrated experience in ESG reporting, data collection, and stakeholder engagement
• Exposure to ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems
• Familiarity with international ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFC Performance Standards, UN SDGs)
