About the Role

You Centred Consulting seeks a dedicated English Language Teacher to join our team in Ikotun Egbe, Lagos State. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational development while contributing to curriculum excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver English instruction aligned with the National curriculum and school standards to meet diverse learning styles, abilities, and student needs
• Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans utilizing a broad range of appropriate teaching techniques and strategies
• Provide instruction that develops students' communication skills and knowledge across all grade levels and subjects
• Administer academic assessments to evaluate student progress and measure achievement of learning targets
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to ensure an orderly and productive classroom environment
• Support and motivate students to achieve their full potential
• Engage in curriculum development and planning activities, both individually and as part of a team
• Participate in standardization, verification, and moderation activities as required
• Ensure curriculum provision aligns with best practices at the national level
• Take responsibility for developing relevant curriculum areas within your subject specialization
• Work toward departmental targets in student retention, attendance, achievement, high grades, added value, and satisfaction
• Oversee assigned out-of-classroom activities during the school day as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by school administration

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Education or English Language
• Valid teacher's license
• Minimum 4-7 years of teaching experience in a reputable school
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and expression skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree (MSc or MBA)
