Engineering - Mechanical Technician III at ABNL Limited

About the Role

ABNL Limited seeks a dedicated Mechanical Technician III to support maintenance operations. This position typically reports to a supervisor and may be filled by a company employee or contractor resource.

Main Functions

• Carry out assigned maintenance work on mechanical components, equipment, and machinery
• Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing engines, instruments, controls, robots, and other mechanical systems
• Estimate workloads and establish completion dates
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates

Key Responsibilities

• Review job packs and identify safety issues prior to work execution
• Ensure removal or mitigation of safety hazards before commencing work
• Actively participate in all on-the-job safety protocols and use of safety tools
• Execute work according to established plans
• Record technical history in required systems (Global Reliability Tool, data sheets, etc.)
• Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS
• Request necessary permits and notify supervisor if permits cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Discipline-appropriate certification(s) or equivalent professional experience
• Strong communication skills with ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps
• Team player mentality with ability to work effectively with colleagues across authority levels
• Willingness to assist others and support team objectives
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
