Engineering Lead at Devtek

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to establish and meet project schedules, manage project costs, and direct and coordinate the engineering team effectively. You will keep management informed on all issues relating to your areas of responsibility while receiving administrative and operational direction from the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects including preparation, execution, and adherence to client design specifications
• Lead and manage the engineering team effectively, taking responsibility for team members' career development
• Engage in design, presentation, and cost estimation of all projects
• Develop and maintain sound understanding of the company's water and wastewater solutions
• Assist the sales team in technical presentations and proposals
• Perform preliminary engineering design and analysis, and review design and drafting work of junior engineers
• Monitor progress of design and construction delivery, identify areas for improvement, and take action to resolve outstanding issues
• Work with external contractors to meet client needs, project schedules, goals, and deadlines
• Prepare weekly reports on unit activities and situations
• Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct regular project reviews and audits to ensure compliance with standards and best practices
• Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Perform all other tasks related to the role

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
• 5+ years of engineering experience with at least 2 years as a team lead
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering applications (advantageous)
• Support for business development activities from identification of opportunities
