Job Summary

Monitor, control, and optimize DRI plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production within set quality and productivity targets.

Location

Gujeni Village, Kaduna, Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and control day-to-day operations of the DRI plant to maintain stable process parameters
• Monitor process indicators (temperature, pressure, gas flow, metallization rate) and adjust operating conditions as needed
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams for smooth plant running and quick resolution of breakdowns
• Ensure adherence to safety, environment, and quality standards during operations
• Prepare daily operational reports and assist in analyzing plant performance data
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce energy consumption, and minimize downtime

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
• 2–5 years' experience in DRI, Steel, or Process plant operations (preferably rotary kiln or shaft-based DRI)
• Good understanding of process control, production parameters, and safety procedures
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and plant data monitoring systems (DCS/SCADA preferred)
