Electrical Technician at Museum of West African Art

About the Role

The Museum of West African Art (MOWAA) is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Facilities Management team. This role is critical to ensuring reliable power, security, and technology systems that support our world-class museum facility, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, panels, and power networks
• Troubleshoot and repair faults on power panels, distribution boards, wiring systems, UPS, and control panels
• Install and commission electrical wiring, components, and systems
• Monitor and record power meter readings to track energy usage, detect abnormalities, and support efficient power management
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, maintain logs, and support emergency power operations

Requirements

• SSCE/OND/HND/BSc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 2–5 years' experience in electrical maintenance in commercial/industrial facilities
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools
• Relevant safety/electrical certifications (a plus)
