## Title: Electrical Maintenance Officer

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Electrical Maintenance Officer at Aldelano Organic Foods Ltd in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Lithium-Ion Battery System Expertise

  • Perform assembly and disassembly of lithium-ion battery packs, modules, and cells following safety and manufacturer guidelines
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to:
    • Battery Management Systems (BMS)
    • Thermal management components
    • Charging systems
    • Cell balancing and protection circuits
    • Voltage irregularities, capacity loss, and internal resistance problems
  • Conduct diagnostic testing, including voltage checks, capacity tests, impedance testing, and fault isolation
  • Maintain detailed service logs and test reports for all battery-related activities
  • Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, industry standards, and hazardous material precautions

Electrical Maintenance Duties

  • Perform routine inspection, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems within the facility, including:
    • Power distribution panels
    • Motors, pumps, and control systems
    • Refrigeration units, lighting systems, and sensors
    • Backup energy systems (solar, inverters, and generators if applicable)
  • Diagnose electrical faults using meters, testing devices, and system schematics
  • Install, upgrade, or replace wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components
  • Respond to electrical emergencies and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support farm automation and energy reliability

Safety, Compliance, and Documentation

  • Adhere strictly to battery safety protocols, PPE requirements, and handling and storage regulations
  • Comply with OSHA, NEC, and internal safety policies
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and troubleshooting reports
  • Participate in safety training, audits, and preventive maintenance planning

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Renewable Energy
