Electrical Lead – Panel Design & Assembly at Hexagon Engineering Ltd

Role Overview

Hexagon Engineering Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Lead to oversee and lead electrical panel design and assembly projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise in electrical engineering, panel layout, wiring, and assembly processes, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of electrical panels and control systems
• Review and approve electrical drawings, schematics, and wire diagrams
• Supervise and coordinate the assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical panels
• Ensure that all electrical work complies with health, safety, and industry standards
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project timelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during design, assembly, and commissioning
• Maintain documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and quality control records
• Mentor and support junior electrical staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in electrical panel design and assembly
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE) and safety regulations
• Hands-on experience with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and automation
