About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our dynamic team in Sagamu. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in the manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will bring over 9 years of hands-on experience, proven technical expertise, and demonstrated leadership skills to oversee electrical systems, drive efficiency, and lead a team of engineers toward achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of electrical engineers and technicians in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems within the manufacturing facility
- Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical equipment and machinery
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues to minimize downtime and optimize production output
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, production, quality assurance, etc.) to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive innovation in energy efficiency and sustainable electrical engineering practices
- Prepare technical reports, project proposals, and documentation for management and regulatory review
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's Degree is an added advantage)
- Minimum of 9 years' experience in electrical engineering within the manufacturing industry
- Professional engineering certification or membership in relevant engineering bodies (added advantage)
- Strong leadership and people-management skills, with proven ability to supervise and motivate a team
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, industrial automation, and PLCs
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation
₦400,000 – ₦500,000 per month
