Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Edo Esan language professional to support language learning, preservation, and effective communication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching, translating, or creating educational resources in the Edo Esan language.
This role requires a strong command of the Edo Esan language (oral and written), cultural awareness, and the ability to engage learners or clients with clarity and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Edo Esan language to learners of different levels (beginner to advanced) or provide accurate translation and interpretation services
- Develop lesson plans, learning materials, or translation resources that promote fluency and cultural appreciation
- Facilitate speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Edo Esan
- Assess learner and client progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Promote Edo Esan cultural heritage through language instruction or content creation
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure communication goals are met
Requirements
Education: Minimum of OND, NCE, or Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics, Language Studies, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience in Edo Esan language fluency)
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
- Prior teaching, tutoring, or translation/interpretation experience is an advantage
Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Edo Esan (oral and written) and good command of English
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to design engaging and culturally relevant materials
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in teaching or translation
- Good digital literacy (online teaching tools, MS Office, etc.) is a plus
