Economics Educator

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Job Purpose - The Economics Educator is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Economics at the secondary school level, fostering critical thinking, economic literacy, and ethical decision-making among learners. - The role requires effective curriculum delivery, assessment, classroom management, and contribution to the overall academic and moral development of students. Key Responsibilities: Teaching and Learning: - Deliver engaging and well-structured Economics lessons in line with the approved curriculum (Cambridge / British / Nigerian curriculum as applicable). - Prepare detailed lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials that meet curriculum standards. - Employ a variety of teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs and abilities. - Integrate real-life economic issues to enhance learners’ understanding and application of concepts. Assessment and Reporting: - Design, administer, and mark assessments (tests, assignments, examinations) in line with school policy. - Maintain accurate records of learners’ academic progress. - Provide timely, constructive feedback to learners and parents. - Prepare reports and contribute to academic review meetings. - Classroom Management and Pastoral. Requirements: - Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with at least 4 years experience.
