## Title: Early Years Educator – Toddler (15 months+)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Early Years Educator to join our team at Millie's British International School, working with toddlers aged 15 months and above. This is a rewarding opportunity to nurture children at a crucial stage of their growth—helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills within the EYFS framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities across the EYFS curriculum
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
- Support toddlers with feeding and hygiene routines
- Engage children through play-based learning, extending their social, emotional, and educational development
- Create stimulating classroom and outdoor activities that promote independence and exploration
- Produce and maintain high-quality, age-appropriate displays in the learning environment
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each child
- Maintain detailed records and support lesson delivery using basic IT tools
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Early Childhood Education from a reputable university
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in early childhood education
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development in the 15-month+ age range
- Knowledge of the British Curriculum and EYFS (candidates with proven childcare experience eager to apply EYFS principles will also be considered)
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Excellent command of English (spoken, written, and reading)
- Professional, caring, and safety-conscious approach to childcare
- Clear understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety in early years settings
- Confidence in engaging children through play-based learning
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual children's needs
- Proficient in basic IT skills (MS Word, internet use) for record keeping and lesson support
- Patience, stamina, and a good sense of humour to work with lively toddlers
- Consistently demonstrates high standards of personal and professional conduct
Location & Requirements
- Must be resident in Ibadan with the ability to easily commute to Jericho, Ibadan
