Driver

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Position Overview: - We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious farm driver to support daily farm operations by conveying staff to and from the farm and assisting with transportation needs as required. - The ideal candidate must be familiar with local routes, committed to safety, and willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends when farm activities require. Key Responsibilities: Staff Transportation: - Safely convey farm staff to and from the farm location as scheduled. - Ensure timely pickup and drop-off of employees, visitors, and supervisors. - Adjust transportation schedules based on farm operational needs and weather conditions. Vehicle Operation & Maintenance: - Operate assigned farm vehicles responsibly and in compliance with road safety regulations. - Conduct daily vehicle checks (fuel level, oil, brakes, tyres, lights) before use. - Keep the vehicle clean, functional, and report mechanical issues promptly. - Ensure valid vehicle documents, insurance, and licenses are always up to date. Operational Support: - Support transportation of light farm supplies, tools, or documents when required. - Assist management with occasional errands related to farm operations. - Maintain a log of trips, fuel usage, and basic vehicle maintenance activities. Safety & Conduct: - Ensure the safety of all passengers at all times. - Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and respect toward staff and management. - Comply with all farm policies, safety guidelines, and local traffic laws. Requirements: & Qualifications - Minimum of SSCE or equivalent. - Valid Nigerian driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a farm, construction, or operational environment. - Driving: 2 years to 5years (Required) - Good knowledge of Ogwashi-Uku and surrounding areas in Delta State. - Physically fit and able to work flexible hours, including weekends when required. - Honest, punctual, and dependable.
