About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited in Lagos, Nigeria as a Drilling/Well Intervention Subsea Advisor III.
Main Functions
Comment on and provide advice regarding discipline engineering work performed both internally and by contractors and sub-contractors to ensure execution in accordance with company specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with team goals, objectives, and procedures. Ensure accurate and timely communication among the team and other company functions regarding discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues.
In addition to technical ability, you should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Serve as company representative for interfacing with subsea tree, hangers, and wellhead interfacing and subsea pressure control equipment (e.g., subsea BOPs, SSTT, CWOR, LWI) for subsea drilling, completion, and/or well interventions during planning and execution phases
- Lead coordination of surface integrity tests (SITs), witness recertification, factory acceptance and extended factory acceptance testing (FAT/EFAT)
- Coordinate subsea equipment and ROV aspects of drilling, completions, and/or well intervention risk assessments
- Prepare brownfield survey and subsea equipment deployment and retrieval procedures, including trees, hangers, wellheads, subsea BOPs, SSTT/landing strings, CWOR, and LWI
- Develop ROV tooling and related procedures
- Monitor subsea equipment service providers and ROV service providers; provide project management support and troubleshooting of subsea pressure control equipment issues
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a closely related position
- Extensive, in-depth understanding of subsea completion, workover and light well intervention units (e.g., semi-submersibles, jack-ups, and multipurpose vessels)
- Ability to develop and manage project interfaces
