Director, Operations at MSI Reproductive Choices

About the Role

The Director of Operations is a key member of the Programme Operations Team, working closely with Regional Managers, project teams, Security and Fleet managers, and other units to achieve MSIN's strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Deputy Country Director, this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of strategies targeted at field operations implementation across all regions. The Director of Operations will direct operational activities to ensure effective implementation, continual improvement, and strengthening of MSIN's service delivery channels and regional performance.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations Coordination

• Support regional and state teams in the development of annual and quarterly budgets and financial performance targets
• Monitor budget management and performance, including determining and managing risk to the programme
• Ensure equitable distribution of resources according to the workplans and resource needs of all MSIN regions
• Monitor progress of field activities and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion of set objectives, working through regional managers in assigned regions

Strategic Operations Management

• Support coordination, preparation, and execution of field operating budgets and work plans
• Ensure financial, administrative, and logistical resources to the field programme operations team adhere to MSIN minimum standards
• Assure quality operations in line with annual and long-term strategic goals and objectives
• Oversee security management, donor project implementation, and relationship management with partner institutions
• Manage partnerships with partner institutions, procurement, fleet management, and field implementation team coordination

Performance Expectations

The Director of Operations will be responsible for achieving the organization's operational productivity growth and effective management, ensuring continual improvement and strengthening of MSIN's service delivery across all channels and regions.
