Job description

The Director of Power is responsible for formulating and implementing the base’s power supply strategy, energy management plans, and power safety regulations. The role ensures a stable, reliable, and safe power supply for factory operations while optimizing energy efficiency and controlling energy consumption costs. Job Responsibilities
  • Formulate the base’s power supply strategy, energy management plans, and power safety operation regulations, and organize effective implementation to ensure stable and reliable power supply for the base.
  • Manage the operation of power equipment, including generators, transformers, and distribution cabinets. Develop equipment operating procedures, assign qualified personnel for duty operations, and ensure safe and stable equipment performance.
  • Develop and implement power equipment maintenance and repair plans. Organize regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs to promptly eliminate equipment faults and reduce equipment failure rates.
  • Lead energy management activities by monitoring energy consumption (electricity, water, gas, etc.), analyzing energy usage data, identifying energy-saving opportunities, and proposing energy-saving improvement and transformation plans to reduce energy costs.
  • Establish and enforce a power safety management system. Organize power safety training and education, supervise compliance with safety operating procedures, and prevent power-related safety accidents.
  • Coordinate with local power supply authorities and relevant departments to handle power connection, power supply approvals, and other related matters, ensuring uninterrupted power support for operations.
Job Requirements
  • African nationality, aged 35–50 years, with a Bachelor’s degree or above. Preferred majors include Electrical Engineering, Power Systems and Automation, Energy and Power Engineering, or related fields. Relevant professional operation certificates are an added advantage.
  • More than 8 years of experience in power supply management and power equipment operation and maintenance in large-scale enterprises or industrial parks, including at least 5 years in a similar senior power management role.
  • Strong knowledge of power equipment operating principles, maintenance technologies, and energy management systems. Familiarity with local power supply policies and safety regulations is required.
  • Excellent power equipment fault diagnosis and handling skills, strong energy analysis and optimization capabilities, and solid power safety management experience.
  • Good Chinese and English communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey operational instructions and safety requirements.
