## Title: Diesel Clerk
Role Summary
The Diesel Clerk is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of diesel and maintaining accurate fuel consumption records for all vehicles, plants, and equipment. This role ensures fuel accountability, efficient usage tracking, and compliance with company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily diesel receipts, issues, and closing balances
- Maintain logbooks for fuel issued to vehicles, machinery, and generators
- Monitor and reconcile physical stock against system records regularly
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fuel consumption reports
- Coordinate with operators and drivers for controlled fuel issuance
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and transfer of diesel in accordance with safety standards
- Report discrepancies, leakage, or losses immediately to management
- Support internal and external audits related to fuel management
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2–5 years of experience in diesel or fuel management at a project site
- Basic computer literacy, particularly with MS Excel and data entry
- Experience maintaining stock ledgers and reconciliations
