## Title: Diction and Language Teacher (Primary School)

Position Overview

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. As a Diction and Language Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students how to speak clearly, pronounce words correctly, and use language effectively. This role focuses on improving verbal expression, listening comprehension, and overall communication confidence in children aged 5–11.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach diction and pronunciation: Guide students in correct articulation, stress patterns, intonation, and phonetics
  • Deliver language instruction: Cover grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and usage appropriate to the grade level
  • Conduct speech development activities: Use reading aloud, recitation, storytelling, and role-play to build fluency and confidence
  • Assess and provide feedback: Evaluate students' progress through oral tests, presentations, and written assignments
  • Plan and adapt curriculum: Design engaging lessons tailored to different learning styles and developmental stages
  • Collaborate with other educators: Coordinate with classroom teachers to reinforce language skills across subjects

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting
  • Teaching qualification or certification (e.g., PGDE, TRCN registration in Nigeria)
  • Specialized training in diction, phonetics, or speech therapy (preferred)
  • Professional development in language instruction or child communication (a plus)
