Job Summary

The Deputy Finance Manager is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Finance Manager and indirectly to the CFO. The position is primarily responsible for daily financial control, including meticulous Balance Sheet management (accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash, inventory, fixed assets, and accruals) and P&L management (revenue and cost control across multiple platforms). The role also involves supporting the tax team, preparing monthly and annual budgets, and generating frequent financial reports (weekly, monthly, and annual).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations for accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash, and inventory
• Manage revenue reconciliations across all internal platforms (Sage™, Kita, and bank accounts)
• Ensure periodic remittance of all statutory deductions (VAT, WHT, CIT, etc.)
• Engage fully in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts
• Convert sales orders into invoices, attend to bank correspondences, and file necessary bank documents
• Provide support to the Finance Manager during periodic audits and secure all relevant company documentation
• Ensure minimal to zero discrepancies in ledgers and timely reporting

Required Qualifications & Experience

• B.Sc. in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field
• 2–3 years of experience in a related role
• ACCA or ICAN qualification (achieved or currently in progress)
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry (preferred)

Required Knowledge & Skills

• High integrity and commitment to ensuring zero errors in financial reporting
• Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Strong proficiency in Sage™ accounting software
• Good knowledge of cash handling
• Strong communication and management skills
