Role Overview

We are seeking a Deputy Chief Operating Officer / Operations Process Lead who will support the COO and CEO in strengthening internal systems, improving operational efficiency, and scaling processes across departments.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, process-driven, and execution-minded individual with experience managing people, systems, and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced company.

Experience in an EdTech, e-learning, or education-focused organization will be a strong advantage — especially one that has operated at scale with 1,000+ learners or clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the COO and CEO in driving daily operations across all departments (Customer Service, Supervision, Onboarding, Tutor Success, etc.)
  • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring processes and workflows
  • Ensure all departments meet performance targets, escalate issues early, and follow through on resolutions
  • Track team deliverables daily using dashboards, reports, and performance trackers
  • Coordinate inter-departmental communication and ensure smooth escalation handling
  • Maintain strong oversight of learner onboarding, tutor performance, and client satisfaction workflows
  • Conduct regular operations reviews and performance reports to management
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and internal training of new operations and support staff
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements to drive productivity and accountability
  • Serve as acting lead in the COO's absence
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and lead the operations team to higher performance levels

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4–6 years' proven experience in operations management, business process coordination, or team supervision
  • Experience in a fast-moving, tech-enabled company
  • EdTech or education operations experience with 1,000+ learners/clients is a strong advantage
