About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our dental clinic team as a Dental Surgery Assistant. In this role, you will provide essential support to our dentist and ensure smooth, efficient operations across all clinical and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side assistance during examinations and dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and mixing dental materials
• Set up treatment rooms before appointments and ensure all necessary equipment and materials are ready
• Clean and disinfect operatory areas after procedures according to OSHA regulations
• Follow strict infection control protocols to sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to prevent cross-contamination
• Expose and process dental X-rays, ensuring proper patient positioning and radiation safety measures are followed
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care
• Conduct various laboratory duties as directed by the dentist
• Greet patients, escort them to treatment rooms, and manage patient flow
• Chart patient data, log information during and after procedures, and update patient records and health histories
• Book patient appointments and manage follow-up visits
• Assist with patient billing and insurance claims
