Dental Surgery Assistant (Dental Nurse)

Position Overview: Clinical Support & Chairside Assistance - Prepare & Assist: Set up treatment rooms, prepare instruments, mix materials, and hand instruments to the dentist during procedures. - Patient Comfort: Reassure nervous patients, monitor them during treatment, and maintain a calm atmosphere. - Infection Control: Sterilize instruments, decontaminate equipment, and maintain impeccable hygiene standards. - X-rays: Process and file dental X-rays.  Patient Care & Education - Oral Hygiene: Educate patients on brushing, flossing, and dietary needs for oral health. - Support: Offer reassurance and support throughout the patient\'s visit.  Administrative Duties - Records: Maintain and update patient clinical records and take notes as dictated by the dentist. - Scheduling: Assist with booking appointments and managing clinician schedules. - Stock Control: Monitor and order dental materials and supplies. - Reception: Greet patients, handle paperwork, and process payments.  Practice Management - Equipment: Report faulty equipment for maintenance. - Protocols: Adhere to practice policies, procedures, and confidentiality rules.  Essential Skills & Qualities: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment. - Attention to detail and organizational skills. - Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
