Position Overview: - Preparing and maintaining the dental equipment, instruments and materials within a dental surgery - Carrying out infection control and decontamination procedures - Recording dental charting carried out by clinicians (If applicable) - Preparing, mixing and handling dental materials - Providing chair-side support to dentists, therapists and hygienists throughout a range of dental procedures - Providing support and reassurance to patients - Providing administration support in making appointments, taking payments and dealing with paperwork. - Ensuringthat all equipment at the surgery room are functioning optimally. - Setting up the surgery for any procedure. - Carrying out routine checks on patients well being - Maintainingsafe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. - Conservingdental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. - Contributingto team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. - Training other dental nurses on job practice - Supervising other dental nurses and roster generation. - Any other duty as assigned by the line manager. Required Qualifications: , Skills & Personal Attributes Required - Certificate or Diploma in Dental Nursing or Dental Surgery Technician. - Previous experience in a dental clinic (preferred but not compulsory) - Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques - Computer literacy& Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Compliance: adheres strictly to organizational/sector policies and procedures. Seeks approval from the correct authority for changes. - Integrity and confidentiality: ability to adhere to high ethical standards in job-related and other activities and experience in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters. - Acceptability: personal style not abrasive to colleagues or customers(Patients) - Planning and organizing: ability to establish efficient and appropriate course of action for self; strong organizational skills. - Practical learning: ability to assimilate and apply new job related information. - Detail Handling: tolerance for and ability to pay attention to and handle the details and paperwork associated with the job.
