Cyber Security Analyst / Specialist

Position Overview

Odixcity Consulting is seeking a qualified Cyber Security Analyst to protect digital systems, networks, and data from threats including theft, damage, and unauthorized access. This role involves implementing security measures, monitoring for breaches, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain security defenses, conduct security tests, train staff, and stay ahead of evolving cyber threats to safeguard sensitive information and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement security controls, policies, and procedures
• Monitor and stay updated with the latest cyber threats and security trends
• Support compliance with security standards and regulations
• Install and manage firewalls, antivirus software, encryption, and access controls
• Investigate security incidents, report findings, and develop prevention plans
• Educate users and IT staff on security protocols and best practices
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field
• Basic to strong knowledge of cyber security principles
• Understanding of networks, operating systems, and common threats
• Familiarity with firewalls, antivirus tools, and security monitoring systems
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) is advantageous
