Credit Relationship Officer

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact sales by identifying prospective clients, offering loans and financial solutions, and achieving monthly loan disbursement and Proof of Funds targets
• Undertake credit assessments and prepare appraisal reports according to prescribed guidelines; conduct desk reviews and onsite due diligence
• Make credit recommendations to the Credit & Business Development Manager based on assessment findings
• Analyze financial data to assess creditworthiness and maintain comprehensive documentation of all credit cases for approval
• Capture KYC data and financial information into the institutional credit management system
• Manage portfolio performance by identifying default triggers, assessing loan penalties, and implementing mitigation measures to prevent portfolio deterioration
• Initiate collection mechanisms and business recovery processes according to policy
• Provide financial advice to clients to support their business and credit needs
• Prepare credit facility offer letters detailing terms, conditions, and covenants for manager review
• Identify and document innovative ways to improve business processes within the Credit and Business Development Department
• Collaborate with teams to develop proposals and effective market strategies
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or equivalent discipline
• Previous experience in banking, finance, or investment sector as a Credit Officer or direct sales agent with strong knowledge of small business financing
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets
