## Title: Credit and Risk Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as a Credit and Risk Analyst.

Work with the Control Manager to assess credit applications
Conduct preliminary interviews with loan applicants
Monitor the sales team for emerging risks and develop a robust system to identify, manage and control credit, market and operational risks
Prepare timely, comprehensive and reliable credit risk reports to senior management and board on a regular basis
Assist in the development of risk policies, procedures, and standards
Review all loan documents and agreements to ensure they are complete, valid and in accordance with the company's guidelines
Assess the creditworthiness of existing or prospective clients
Ensure proper documentation of credits by adhering to set documentation standards and procedures
Work out plans and strategies for delinquent customers and provide additional support with respect to exposures requiring legal action
Review and analyze the delinquent portfolio to identify key causal factors, make recommendations and track them to ensure adequate and timely closure
Carry out any other tasks as required from time to time

HND or B.Sc. Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines
2 years of experience as an analyst in a Microfinance Bank (major consideration)

Strong ethical behavior and ability to work with sensitive financial information
Excellent knowledge of loan application procedures and best lending practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional analytical skills, sound assessment and time management abilities
