Creative Assistant (Fashion Design & Illustration) at Amani Advisory

Job Overview

Amani Advisory is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented Creative Assistant with strong sketching and design interpretation skills to support our fashion design team. You will work closely with the Creative Director and design team in developing innovative and visually stunning designs. The ideal candidate must have a strong eye for style, an understanding of trends, and the ability to translate concepts into visual presentations and illustrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create clear, accurate fashion sketches and illustrations (digital or hand-drawn) based on designer or client concepts
• Collaborate with designers and production team to bring creative visions to life through mood boards, color palettes, and design references
• Support the development of bespoke, ready-to-wear, and bridal collections by preparing sketches, trims, and fabric ideas
• Assist during fittings, photoshoots, and design consultations when necessary
• Maintain and organize a visual archive of past and present sketches, samples, and inspiration materials
• Interpret rough ideas into refined, fashion-forward sketches that match the brand's aesthetic
• Research and stay current on trends, silhouettes, and fashion market directions
• Create tech-packs and specification sheets where required
• Take initiative in suggesting design tweaks, new fabrications, or styling options
• Work closely with tailors, beaders, and pattern makers to ensure design accuracy during production

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in fashion illustration (portfolio required)
• Ability to sketch manually and/or digitally with precision and speed
• Excellent sense of style, fashion trends, and garment construction basics
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Creative thinking with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
