Crane Operator at African Industries Group (AIG)

About the Role

African Industries Group (AIG) is expanding its dynamic team and seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our operations in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of cranes, including mobile cranes, tower cranes, and overhead cranes, to move materials and equipment
• Load and unload cargo, equipment, and personnel safely and efficiently
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on cranes and equipment to ensure optimal functionality
• Ensure full compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with ground crew and other operators to maintain safe and efficient operations
• Maintain accurate operational records, including load charts and maintenance logs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating cranes in a mining or construction environment
• Valid crane operator license or certification (e.g., NEST/COREN) is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of crane operations, safety procedures, and regulations
• Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Physical fitness with ability to pass a medical examination
