Position Overview:
- The Cost Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling production and operational costs to ensure efficient use of resources and improved profitability. T
- he role involves analyzing cost structures, implementing cost-reduction strategies, and supporting management with accurate financial insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems for manufacturing operations.
- Monitor raw material, labor, overhead, and production expenses to ensure budget compliance.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports, variance analysis, and performance summaries.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Work closely with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to optimize resource usage.
- Evaluate suppliers’ pricing and support negotiation processes.
- Ensure accurate product costing and pricing structures.
- Review inventory levels and minimize waste, losses, and inefficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide management with timely and reliable financial insights.
- Support audits and financial reviews related to cost management.
Required Qualifications:
& Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 4 - 6 years’ experience in cost management or manufacturing finance.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment preferred.
