Cost Controller / Cost Management Officer

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as a Cost Controller, responsible for managing financial performance and ensuring cost efficiency across projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, approve, and analyze the impact of variations (change orders) and contracts
• Evaluate and implement cost-saving measures to enhance profitability
• Develop project budgets and provide accurate, timely financial projections to guide decision-making
• Track expenses, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to prevent budget overruns
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), and update stakeholders on financial status

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
• 3 - 5 years of experience in cost control, project accounting, or financial analysis
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills

Sector-Specific Responsibilities

Construction / Engineering:

• Manage project milestones and associated financial tracking
• Monitor subcontractor payments and material costs

Hospitality / Food & Beverage:

• Monitor inventory and food/beverage costs
• Track daily stock movements
