Position Overview:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project and operational costs to ensure financial efficiency and compliance with budgets.
- This role plays a key part in supporting management decision-making through accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control project and operational costs against approved budgets
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses on a regular basis
- Track commitments, expenditures, and accruals to ensure accurate cost visibility
- Review invoices, purchase orders, and contracts for cost accuracy and compliance
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support efficiency initiatives
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams
- Maintain cost control systems, records, and documentation
- Support audits and financial reviews as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Cost Controller, Cost Analyst, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control principles
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial management systems (ERP experience is an advantage)
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage
- Experience in hospitality
- Knowledge of project cost control and reporting standards.
