Cost Accountant at Givanas Group of Companies

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team in Ibadan. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and analyzing production costs to ensure accurate product pricing and support effective financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze costs of raw materials, labor, and overhead to determine unit product cost
• Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs
• Monitor inventory and perform periodic stock reconciliations
• Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports
• Support budgeting and cost standard development
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with procurement and production teams
• Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards
• Assist in pricing decisions for new and existing products

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a cost accounting role (preferably in manufacturing or FMCG)
• Strong knowledge of costing principles and inventory control
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, CMA) is an added advantage

Salary

N250,000 - N300,000 per month
