Join a fast-growing Microfinance Bank and play a strategic role in driving organisational growth. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Advisor to support our corporate operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide sound legal counsel on business matters.

Work Arrangements

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Lagos, Nigeria (ideal for candidates residing on or near Lagos Island)

Salary: ₦300,000 – ₦350,000/month (net)

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents
• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, business risks, and regulatory issues
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and industry regulations
• Liaise with external counsel, regulatory agencies, and internal departments
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs, reports, and opinions
• Support internal teams on legal implications of business decisions and strategies
• Manage and monitor regulatory filings, licensing, and statutory obligations
• Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing company policies and procedures
• Support dispute resolution processes, including mediation and arbitration preparations
• Maintain accurate legal records and document management systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B) with BL qualification
• 2–4 years' post-call experience in corporate/commercial law or as in-house counsel
• Strong understanding of Nigerian corporate and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proximity to Lagos Island is a strong advantage
