Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Consultant Neurologist located in Lagos.

The Consultant Neurologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with neurological disorders. You will conduct patient consultations, perform neurological examinations, and interpret diagnostic tests to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

The role also involves collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and participating in ongoing research and innovation within the neurology department.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations and neurological examinations
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as EEG, NCS, and EMG
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans for neurological disorders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Participate in ongoing research and innovation initiatives within the neurology department

Required Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
• Fellowship or Postgraduate qualification in Neurology (e.g., FWACP, FMCP, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3–5 years post-fellowship experience in Neurology practice, preferably in a tertiary or specialist hospital

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proficiency in diagnosis and management of neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, neuropathies, movement disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases
• Analysis and interpretation of EEG, NCS, and EMG
• Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork
