## Title: Construction Engineer, Offshore

About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated Construction Engineer to support the delivery of the Bonga North Topsides project. The Construction Engineer reports to the Principal Construction Engineer and is responsible for delivering the Bonga North Topsides scope and tie-in while maintaining best-in-class HSSE and CAPEX performance, ensuring safe and flawless start-up operations (zero leaks) and reliable asset performance post-commissioning.

Project Overview

The Bonga North Project represents a significant development initiative focused on accessing new reservoirs through a 16-well tie-back system (8 producers and 8 injectors) to the existing Bonga Main FPSO. The project includes a 15-year life extension targeting approximately 352 MMboe of recovery with associated subsea infrastructure and topside revamp scope.

Scope of Work

Subsea Infrastructure (SURF)

  • 8 subsea production trees and 8 water injection trees
  • 2 production manifolds (4-slot each) and 4 production inline tees (1-slot each)
  • Water injection manifolds (1 x 6-slot and 1 x 2-slot) and 1 water injection inline tee
  • 8 production jumpers and 8 water injection jumpers
  • Manifold connections to FPSO via 10" subsea production flowlines (approximately 26 km) with steel catenary risers (SCRs) in two flow loops
  • 14" water injection flowline (approximately 12 km) and SCR
  • Subsea and wells facility services via approximately 32 km of static and dynamic umbilical and approximately 4 km of composite gas-lift umbilical

Topsides Modifications

  • Engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of topside materials and equipment modifications
  • Installation of one new water injection turbine-driven pump
  • Upgrade of one existing Bonga Main pump
  • Addition of four new electric motor-driven methanol injection pumps
  • Addition of two corrosion inhibitor pumps
  • Multiple tie-ins to existing systems
  • Total additional dry weight: approximately 1,500 metric tonnes

Project Timeline

  • Final Investment Decision (FID): 2024
  • Final Operations Date (FOD): 2027–2028

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Bonga North Topsides scope and tie-in scope within budget and schedule
  • Maintain best-in-class HSSE and CAPEX performance standards
  • Ensure safe and flawless commissioning (zero leaks)
  • Support safe and reliable asset operations post-startup
  • Report to the Principal Construction Engineer
