## Title: Computer Studies Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Computer Studies Teacher to join our dynamic academic team at Blooms Academy in Lagos. The ideal candidate will inspire students to become confident, creative, and responsible users of technology. You will deliver engaging lessons that develop students' digital literacy, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills in alignment with the school's curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver interactive lessons in Computer Studies and ICT using modern teaching methods
  • Teach topics such as computer fundamentals, coding, digital citizenship, and safe internet use
  • Design and assess classwork, projects, and practical activities to evaluate students' progress
  • Manage and maintain the computer laboratory to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
  • Integrate real-life applications and emerging technologies into classroom practice
  • Support school-wide ICT initiatives and co-curricular activities such as coding clubs or robotics
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and staff training programs

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Education, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Recognized teaching qualification (PGDE, TRCN registration, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2–3 years teaching experience, preferably in a secondary or technical school setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scratch, HTML/CSS)
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
