Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee internal compliance frameworks in line with Nigerian laws and sector-specific regulations (e.g., CBN, NDIC, SEC, NITDA, etc.)
• Perform real-time surveillance to prevent misconduct, promote ethical standards, and monitor adherence to organizational rules with the objective of reducing risk to the Company
• Keep up to date with and understand relevant laws and regulations; monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Monitor, interpret, and communicate regulatory changes as well as industry best practices, ensuring findings are recorded and followed up with management
• Perform risk assessments and compliance audits to understand risk level, significance, and scope
• Investigate and develop internal control systems
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments on a regular basis
• Prepare periodic financial reports required by regulatory bodies
• Maintain, review, and update the organization's internal procedures and policies
• Assist in gathering internal information in response to regulatory requests
• Carry out and oversee detailed information gathering, process mapping, analysis, and other activities to identify and assess compliance risks
• Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions
• Monitor day-to-day operations to identify compliance risks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
