Position Overview:
- The Company Lawyer at Linkorg Network Limited is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations while protecting the company’s interests.
- This role involves advising on various legal matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, intellectual property, and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing contracts on behalf of the company.
- Drafting up terms and conditions of company product.
- Watching leads for company in court of law in any court case.
- Representing company at the court of law.
- Ensure the company complies with its statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.
- Develop and oversee the systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes, in addition to its legal and statutory requirements.
- Provide expert legal advice to senior management on various legal matters, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, labour law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the company’s operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; a Master’s degree (LL.M) is an advantage. Must be a qualified lawyer admitted to practice law in Nigeria (e.g., called to bar).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate legal environment; experience in telecommunications is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian telecommunications laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex legislation and contracts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software applications.
