## Title: Community Development Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a Community Development Officer to join our team at our station in Ondo, Ondo State. You will work within the Community Development team to ensure smooth implementation of the CLMRS system and support our mission to combat child labour in cocoa-growing communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct continuous digital data collection using the CLMT tool as part of CLMRS and VSLA activities
  • Verify identified cases of child labour in the supply chain and implement remediation activities with cocoa-growing households
  • Carry out awareness and training sessions on child protection at individual household and community levels
  • Establish and monitor Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs)
  • Support the training of child labour liaison officers in the Assess and Address Committee
  • Conduct follow-up visits and monitor household activities to ensure programme effectiveness
  • Report all field activities and collected data to the Community Development Project Manager
  • Collaborate with other field officers on related projects and activities
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Community Development Project Manager

Required Qualifications

  • A diploma or university degree in agricultural science, social sciences, social work, humanities, education, or related fields
  • At least 2 years of experience in handling social issues or community development work, specifically in data collection and child labour monitoring
  • Proficiency in local dialects (Yoruba and/or Pidgin)
  • Computer literacy with ability to use basic digital data collection tools
